We are a young club, founded in 2012 by a handful of enthusiastic sailors. We all contribute our time, treasure, and talents in various ways to keep our Club alive, and costs as low as possible. HLYC is purely a non-profit organization, and all revenues go into our lease expense, facilities, club boats and programs. As our ranks grow we hope to improve upon our facilities, our regattas, teaching programs, and social events. But no matter what size we reach, we hope to never outgrow the grass roots nature of our organization, and the true Corinthian Spirit that was there at the turning of the first shovel, and the hammering of the first nail.
The record for the “Sweet 16” 16 Miler on Hebgen Lake stood for 4 years but has been broken today!
The new record is 2 hrs., 37 min., 27 sec., set by Brock Short and Dave Broederdorf on “Benny Hana”, Beneteau First 20 on July 18, 2019.
